CIC bioGUNE and CIC biomaGUNE organize a round table on “Science and Innovation” with political parties with representation in the Basque Parliament

CIC bioGUNE and CIC biomaGUNE, research centers and members of the Basque Research and Technology Alliance (BRTA), are organizing a round table on "Science and Innovation" on Wednesday, March 20th, with political parties with representation in the Basque Parliament this last political term 2020-2024. The aim of the panel discussion is to find out what each party's program proposes in this area in the run-up to the elections to the Basque Parliament, to be held on Sunday, April 21st.

Estibaliz Hernáez, Vice-Minister of Technology, Innovation and Digital Transformation, representing EAJ-PNV; Lore Martínez Axpe, Member of Parliament and Secretary for Digitalisation of EH Bildu; Denis Itxaso, head of the list of candidates of the PSE-EE for Gipuzkoa; Víctor Lasa, spokesperson for Elkarrekin Podemos in the City Council of Donostia-San Sebastián; and Muriel Larrea, Member of the Basque Parliament and President of the Partido Popular in Gipuzkoa, have all confirmed their attendance. Vox, for its part, has declined the invitation to participate in the round table.

The event will take place this Wednesday, from 10:30, in the auditorium of the Zamudio/Derio Campus Headquarters Building of the Basque Country Technology Park (Ibaizabal Bidea, 101. Zamudio). All those involved in research activity at the 17 research centers (Azterlan, AZTI, Ceit, CIC bioGUNE, CIC biomaGUNE, CIC energiGUNE, CIC nanoGUNE, Cidetec, Gaiker, Ideko, Ikerlan, Leartiker, Lortek, Neiker, Tecnalia, Tekniker and Vicomtech) that make up the BRTA, as well as those who wish to learn more about the plans of the political parties on science and innovation in the run-up to the forthcoming elections, are invited to attend.
